What are churros and where do they come from?
Churros hail originally from Spain. They are the Spanish cult pastry par excellence, which can be bought on every street corner. To make them even more delicious, the finished churros are dipped in hot, liquid chocolate: Chocolate con Churros – a treat for everybody with a sweet tooth. But not only people in Spain enjoy this pastry. They are also very popular in Portugal and many Latin American countries. And now churros are conquering taste buds in this country. Preparing them with hot fat is laborious, makes dirt and is not suitable for every kitchen. But with the electric churros machines, the oily doughnuts almost prepare themselves. Choose a professional solution from Royal Catering and enjoy your crispy, tasty churros straight from the machine.

How to clean a churro maker?
Our high-quality and durable stainless steel churros machines are easy to clean due to the premium material. Always make sure to disconnect the device from the power supply before cleaning, only then should it come into contact with water. Since the inside of the churros makers is coated with non-stick Teflon, there will be no coarse stains. You can remove small dough deposits with a damp cloth. Never use sharp cleaning agents and equipment or scouring milk, as this can quickly damage the coating. Please clean the outer shell only with a damp cloth. You can use a mild dishwashing detergent if necessary.

Ending with a churros recipe
For the churros to come out just right, the right dough is necessary – the so-called choux pastry:
Ingredients (approx. 6 servings):
250 ml water
100 g butter
1 pinch salt
200 g flour
For dusting the finished churros: powdered sugar, possibly cinnamon or cocoa powder and / or drinking chocolate.
Pour water into a saucepan, add the butter and boil briefly until the butter has melted. Add the salt and then sprinkle in the flour. Stir it with a wooden spoon until the dough separates from the side of the pot and forms a thick dough. Pour the mass into a bowl and leave to cool slightly. Then add the eggs one by one, while stirring until a creamy dough is formed. This is then put into the churros maker. The finished churros can be sprinkled with powdered sugar (pure or mixed with cinnamon or cocoa powder) or rolled in it. As an addition, liquid chocolate tastes really good.
