We have a family farm. We keep various poultry and rabbits. The production of our own feed is a necessity for us. We bought a wiesendfield press. At first the machine did not work as it should. After two days, it turned out that the granulated mixture was too dry. It was necessary to buy a hygrometer. At a humidity of 18%, the press was already giving nice granules. It is not suitable to tighten the grinding wheels to the matrix. The experience is that before starting the machine, the wheels barely touch. Free spins. Otherwise, the axis of the crusher wheels is stressed and there is unnecessary wear and tear.

The pellet machine for large quantities of feed pellets in a short time
Whether you want to produce large quantities of pellets for feeding, fertilising or heating at low cost, the pellet machine WIE-PM-1500 from Wiesenfield, the experts for high-quality agricultural supply, allows you to produce up to 100 kg of feed pellets per hour or process up to 60 kg/h of wood chips. Ensure the individual components of the raw material are smaller than 6 mm.

Produce cylindrical feed pellets according to your own recipe and you'll always know exactly what's inside. You alone can decide which vitamins and minerals you add to the grain, maize, oats or hay to feed your animals. The same goes for the ingredients in your homemade fertiliser pellets. The pellet making machine is also ideal for making pellets from sawdust or paper to be burnt in a stove in an environmentally sustainable way without any glue, such as that found in pressboard.
How does it work? In the pellet press, heat the filled material to 60 to 80 °C. The solid cast iron construction then presses the contents through a 120 mm diameter die. The result: firmly pressed, durable pellets with a diameter of 6 mm.
The feed pellet machine, which is very mobile thanks to four stable castors, is powered by a 3,000 W electric motor. The intuitive machine is equipped with a centrally-located emergency stop switch that is easily accessible at all times. A protective grid (grid 37 x 37 mm) in the feed hopper prevents foreign bodies from falling into the press or someone reaching in with their hand and seriously injuring themselves.
Practical: Inside the unit's durable housing is a lockable compartment for tools, gloves or other small parts next to the lockable control box. The robust, solid cast iron pellet machine will provide you with many years of faithful service and is therefore a must-have in any agricultural business!
Note: Order the binding agent for pellets at the same time (item no.: 10530000). The wheat starch powder makes it easier to press and store your pellets.
Note on wearing parts: The built-in dies and rollers for pellet presses can be used for up to 300 hours. If these are worn out, replace them promptly. Wearing parts are excluded from the extended warranty. You can find the corresponding spare parts in the expondo online shop.

The machine is completely complete, neatly delivered where I wanted it. After some experimenting, nice pellets come out.

Can I produce pellets of different sizes with the pellet press?
The pellet machine is supplied as standard with a die for pellets with a diameter of 6 mm. If you want to produce smaller pellets, Wiesenfield offers you matrices with diameters of 2.5 to 4 mm, which are particularly suitable for the production of animal feed, for example for young birds, rabbits, chickens or pets such as dogs or cats. If you need larger pellets, you will find suitable perforated discs with a diameter of up to 8 mm at expondo. So you can perfectly cover different areas such as wood pellets as fuel or pellets as fertilizer.
