MIG/MAG welder with electrode welding
The MIG/MAG PROXUS 250C welding machine works with a powerful IGBT inverter technology for maximum flexibility and quality. The seamless regulation of the welding current up to 250 A ensures optimum weld seams for a wide variety of welding work. The MIG welding device can be used for electrode welding, which makes it easy to use even outdoors in winds.
Clear function selection with digital control panel
Rotary controls as well as two LED displays control all values such as current or voltage simply as directly. You can determine and precisely set a 2-stroke or 4-stroke handling. It is equally easy to select the welding method between MIG/MAG, TIG lift-arc and MMA.
At full power, the MIG welding machine reaches 250 A, which can reliably handle even difficult repair and renovation work. If you reduce the welding current to 158 A, you can weld without interruption. A large coil with a diameter of 300 mm is available for the welding so that you can also carry out longer work without renewing the wire. You can use thin or thick welding wires of 0,6 to 1,2 mm.
The shielding gas welding device has been designed for all metal work in production, workshops, locksmiths or crafts. MIG welding uses inert gases for copper, magnesium and other iron-free metals as well as their alloys; MAG welding with active gases is optimal for structural steel, steel and most of their alloys. If you want to weld without inert gas, you can also use a flux wire, since the inert gas is already integrated.
With the additional WIG welding torch with an external gas connection (not included in delivery), this welder can also be used for TIG welding with lift-arc ignition. All you have to do is select the corresponding function on the control panel.
WIG welding can be used when particularly clean welds are needed. There are hardly any impurities and the welds are always straight and sharp. There are no slags, so cleaning is not required. Sparks, splashes and open flames are kept to a minimum.
The compact installation of the technical interior in a stable metal casing protects the device from mechanical damage. The device is cooled with a powerful fan. The efficient air circulation protects against overheating and contributes to the longevity of the device.
Weld with one electrode without additional shielding gas and remain flexible
MMA welding is mainly used for iron or copper as well as alloys such as cast iron or steel. No gas is required for welding, so the device can also be used in adverse circumstances such as wind. The hot-start and anti-stick functions enable optimum welding results. The Hot-Start-function of the electrode welder procures an automatic and short-term increase of the welding current. The welding seam will be optimally heated. The Anti-Stick function prevents overheating and the electrode sticking to the welding material by switching off the welding current.

IGBT = insulated-gate bipolar transistor. IGBT is a bipolar transistor with an insulated gate electrode. This semi-conducting device is being increasingly used in power electronics because it combines the advantages of two transistor types: the easy controls of the field effect transistor and the fast switching and high breakdown voltage of the bipolar transistor. The IGBT also offers some robustness against short circuits because it limits the electrical continuity. IGBTs are a further development of MOSFET technology.
Show moreShow lessPowerful fans ensure an optimal removal of heat from the unit.
TIG/MIG and MAG welding require a protective gas. Inert gases, such as argon and helium, as well as active gases (for example carbon dioxide) and other mixtures can be used. The solenoid valve regulates the flow of gas. The valve is operated via a button on the torch.
Show moreShow lessOn the back of every welding machine is a screw with an earthing mark. Before use, earth the unit via a cross-section cable, which must be at least 6 mm².
This device works with a 1-phase connection (230 V +/- 10 %).
Start the weld by placing pressure on the torch button. Stop the process by releasing the button.
By pressing the torch button the solenoid valve opens. allowing the gas to flow in. The gas pre-flow ignites the arc at the pre-set current. Releasing the burner button initiates a rise in the current to that of the pre-set welding current. The welding process stops once you press the burner button again.
Show moreShow lessThrough automatically boosting the tension at the ignition of the arc, this function facilitates the electrical arc ignition. After ignition, the unit automatically returns to the pre-set voltage.
Show moreShow lessThis function helps to prevent overheating of the electrode by switching off the welding current when the electrode sticks to the material.
