Plasma Cutter - 85 A - 400 V - pilot arc ignition
The S-Plasma 85H is crafted to excel in a highly competitive global market. Designed for professionals, it blends cutting-edge plasma technology with the efficiency needed for industrial work. Ambitious DIYers will also find this cutter perfect for high-quality repairs and renovations.
The cutting current reaches 85 amps at its peak, which is achieved with a duty cycle of 60 percent. Even at 100% duty cycle, the cutter delivers strong amperage. These performance values are sufficient to cut workpieces up to 27 millimetres thick. The plasma cutter can cut tool steels as well as stainless steel and other high-alloy steels. Even aluminium, copper and titanium can't resist the powerful plasma arc of the S-Plasma 85H.
To maximise efficiency on every job, Stamos offers two working modes. In 2T mode, the torch runs as long as you hold the trigger. In 4T mode, tap once to start the torch and again to turn it off. This mode is a game-changer for long cutting sessions. You can adjust your grip while working, reducing fatigue and strain.
The Stamos plasma cutter works with three-phase alternating current at an operating voltage of 400 V. This makes it the ideal tool for automotive workshops, commercial metalworking companies and industrial production. In addition, it also supports DIY enthusiasts in their demanding renovation and repair projects.
The torch is ignited using a pilot plasma arc. Control the necessary air pressure for plasma cutting with an external pressure reducer. Pick an external compressor that suits your specific cutting tasks. Its design makes the unit highly flexible and easy to transport. To prevent oxidation or warping after a cut, the air supply continues for a set period. The post-flow time can be preset directly at the power unit between 2 and 15 seconds.
Continuous airflow helps prevent overheating and torch wear. A high-performance fan ensures the base unit stays cool during operation. If the temperature gets too high, the built-in overheating protection kicks in.
Temperature issues and other malfunctions are indicated via an LED on the control panel. The front panel features a clear LED display showing the cutting current and controls. A cutting range of 20–85 A gives it a solid edge over rival machines. Weighing 20 kg, this plasma cutter is sturdy enough for rugged work environments.
