With a duty cycle of 60 percent, the basic unit of the plasma cutter delivers a cutting current of 70 amperes. At 100 percent duty cycle, it delivers 52,4 amperes. The cutting current can be continuously varied between 20 and 70 amperes on the control unit. This covers the entire performance range, which enables the cutting of low- and high-alloy steels as well as aluminium, copper, titanium and other non-ferrous metals.

Both the cutting current and the air pressure can be preselected precisely and steplessly via rotary knobs. In this way, the optimum performance values can be set for every area of application. Depending on the metal, the plasma cutter can reach a cutting depth of up to 20 mm.

You can connect an external compressor via the included compressed air hose. The required working pressure is 4 to 5 bar at an air flow rate of 235 litres per minute. For plasma cutting, a gas is required with which the molten metal is blown away from the work surface. Compressed air is a common solution for this. For this purpose, the plasma cutter has a compressor connection.

On the back of every welding machine is a screw with an earthing mark. Before use, earth the unit via a cross-section cable, which must be at least 6 mm².

What's the maximum thickness of a material the plasma cutter can cut through?

The maximum thickness is 20 mm.

Is the plasma cutter easy to transport?

Yes, thanks to its compact size and relatively light weight of 14 kg, the device can be carried without too much effort.

How does the device inform me when it's threatening to overheat?

A diode lights up as soon as the maximum duty cycle is exceeded and the device heats up too much as a result. The light will also warn you if the plasma cutter generates too much heat due to malfunction. In both cases, the operation should be interrupted.
