I also have the old disc that lasted me about two years with intense use. I received the new disc which was slightly modified and as far as I can see for the better, it no longer locks up.

Dicing Disc 8x8x8 mm RCDB-8W by Royal Catering is made especially for the use with electrical vegetable cutters. The spare blade can be used privately as well as professionally in large-scale catering businesses. This reliable kitchen tool enables quick and easy processing of vegetables into 8x8x8 mm dice. The attachment works in combination with a suitable Slicing Disc and is suitable for working with carrots, beets, potatoes or similar foods. The sharp knives ensure precise cuts and even results.
