The diagnostic device is compatible with all vehicles that have an OBD2 interface. Even without prior knowledge, you can operate the tool easily: simply connect it to the OBD2 interface of the vehicle and the device reads out the fault codes. LEDs in green, yellow and red show you errors. Thanks to the freeze frame function, the unit stores the codes and status information it detects. This includes error codes, speed, rpm, water temperature and much more. It also displays the exact DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) description. This will tell you what the error codes mean. Then make the necessary improvements or take the vehicle to the workshop.
Depending on the code, you have the option of deleting the entry with the autodiagnostic device, for example after you have eliminated errors. The unit records up to 249 types of parameters and works with the following protocols: CAN, VPW, PWM, ISO9141, KWP2000. The universal tool shows you the information optionally in English, German, Spanish, French and Dutch.
With the OBD2 scanner you capture info on, among other things:
- Trouble codes, description and solution
- Vehicle identification number (VIN) for cars built from 2002 onwards
- Identification number of the software installed on the ECU
- Calibration test number (CVN)
