Very good quality tool

The knife is well made, I have reservations about small sledges because the main elements are made of aluminum - which makes them delicate. In general, the tool is very useful in preparatory work for installation.

Product Description

Cut insulation or packaging material effortlessly with the polystyrene cutter from MSW

The MSW foam cutter is ideal for cutting building insulation, thermal insulation composite systems (TICS), for detailed work such as shaping cable or pipe recesses, socket openings, window reveals, precision cuts in model making, and much more. With its reliable and safe operation, high-quality results, and exceptional working comfort, the powerful polystyrene cutter shines in both commercial and industrial applications.

Quick and easy: The polystyrene cutter from the craft experts at MSW

The hot wire cutter melts the material at the cutting point for precise edges. Simply set the temperature in 16 stages up to 500 °C, After a quick warm-up, the polystyrene cutter glides through materials like expanded polystyrene (EPS), extruded polystyrene (XPS), polyethylene, polypropylene, and other thermoplastics, Warehouses can use thermal saws to cut or shape polystyrene sheets to ensure goods fit precisely and securely into boxes.

The ergonomic one-handed handle and 3 m long cable allow for flexible working. The polystyrene cutter is also compact, lightweight, and comes with a hanger for when both hands are needed elsewhere. The supplied blades are flexible and effortlessly replaceable. In addition to the polystyrene cutter, you also receive a comprehensive range of accessories: 4 straight blades (100 / 150 / 200 / 250 mm), a blade for U-profiles (85 x 35 mm), 3 blades for round profiles (20 / 27 / 34 mm), adapters for groove cutting, a small groove cutting carriage, a groove cutting carriage with guide (10 - 165 mm), a radius cutter (diameter: 30 - 150 mm) and a hole cutter (depth: 30 - 90 mm, diameter: 70 mm), 2 flat blades, a guide for bevel cuts (-45° to 45°) and other accessories. All components are safely stored and transported in the sturdy case.

defective delivery and chaos in the suitcase

As I have already written, the case arrived with various damaged tools. For example, the tape measure was broken, the pen and lead were in 1000 pieces, the wire was completely bent, the knife case was broken and the knife was bent. To date, we have not received a replacement from you...

Quality that is so appallingly low...

I bought this machine to cut a few blocks of EPS 150. First, it turned out that the cutting blades were becoming warped and I got a thick double cutting line instead of a clean cut. Then, after cutting three blocks, one of the two main contacts (to which all the attachments are fastened) suddenly broke off. It turns out that these contacts are made of a cheap powder metal alloy and not steel, even though these main contacts are so important... I will now see how the warranty will be applied and if I will be helped...
