The beehive frames are made of knot-free pine wood, which is both light and dimensionally stable. The upper and lower beams are made from basswood. Due to the milled groove, dividing walls can be easily installed without complex wiring. The frames encourage bees to build stable honeycombs quickly over many years. For repeated use, only the residues of honey, wax and propolis have to be removed and germs killed by flaming or caustic soda.
