For insulation, renovations, and building rehabilitations on medium and larger-scale projects, the MSW Styrofoam cutter is the optimal hot wire cutting device. It is designed for millimetre-precise cuts in insulation panels made from Styrofoam and polystyrene. The hot wire cutter allows you to effortlessly cut large insulation boards with lengths of up to 1300 mm and depths of 330 mm.
The polystyrene cutter from the craft experts at MSW
Operating the hot wire cutter couldn't be easier: simply press the button switch. Thanks to the powerful 200-W transformer, the Styrofoam cutter is ready to use. During cutting, the hot wire effortlessly glides along the guide rail through the insulation material, allowing you to cut straight, smooth, and cleanly without any interruptions. Guide rails, a scale, and adjustable cutting depth enable precise cuts down to the millimetre.
The transformer with IP68 protection rating is waterproof – rain and moisture stand no chance against it. In addition, the Styrocutter is remarkably lightweight, owing to its solid build of aluminium and coated structural cardboard. You can easily install the wire cutter on a table. With its weatherproof design, lightweight construction, and ease of transportation and assembly, the device is perfectly suited for mobile operations on construction sites.
The thermal cutter also comes with 5 cutting wires made from a nickel-chromium-copper alloy. This specific material is perfect for Styrofoam cutters because of its exceptional resistance to corrosion and tolerance to extreme temperatures. Only when the wire reaches high temperatures do edges melt, resulting in precise, smooth cuts.
