The self-cleaning litter box works like this: If the cat spends more than 6 seconds inside the box, the cleaning process starts automatically. The litter tray sieves the litter and separates solid lumps from clean granules. The appliance then disinfects the interior with UV light for 20 minutes. You also can set the timer to a different setting as required. Solid waste makes its way into the litter bin at the back of the automatic litter tray.
