Coating Thickness Gauge - Measuring Range: 0 - 500μm - ±1% + 1μm

The coating thickness gauge SBS-CT-123E can be used on surfaces of different metallic materials such as steel or iron, as well as on non-magnetic materials such as aluminium, copper or a layer of car paint on a metal surface. The unit is characterized by its high measuring accuracy of ±1% + 1μm and its relatively wide measuring range of 0 - 500μm. Furthermore, the measuring instrument has a mini-USB port for data transfer. In the metal and chemical industries, as well as in the automotive one, this compact helper is indispensable.

PRODUCT DETAILS

With a precision of ±1% + 1μm the coating thickness gauge measures the thickness of all metals with high precision. Get excellent results thanks to the generous measuring range of 0 - 500 μm, v especially when it comes to the thickest coatings, not only for automotive coatings. In addition, the device has a very large storage space for 2.000 readings, which are divided into four groups.

You can measure using three different modes. The first mode determines the values via magnet, the second one for other materials using Eddy current and the third one, auto-mode, checks and detects the type of certified material. Additionally, the coating thickness gauge has a practical V-Groove. Measurements on round bodies such as axles, hinges, fenders and spoiler are facilitated this way.

Apart from adjusting modes and methods, different storage options can be selected. For instance, setting the speed, the units, or the language. You can select between English, German, Russian and Chinese.

All the required measurement parameters are displayed on an easily readable, informative LCD display. Even in dark environments you can benefit from a full perspective, since the display has a backlight. This can be manually switched on or off if needed. An acoustic signal sounds when measuring. Operating the device is conveniently easy via the rubber buttons. To ensure that the device both sits well in the hand and doesn't slip from it, a rubber strip was integrated in the housing on each side.

Included in the delivery next to the two AAA batteries are the following: a mini USB cable, a software and a carrying case, plus different calibration discs for simple device calibration. In addition, device calibration is described in detail in the operating instructions. All parts are securely stowed in the case so that the coating thickness gauge SBS-CT-123E can be easily transported. Humidity and temperature fluctuations, enemies to measurement results

Humidity and temperature fluctuations affect the measurement results. For this reason, much emphasis was placed on the product's design. This coating thickness gauge works effectively at very high temperatures of up to 50 °C. The humidity should be in the range between 20 to 90%.

The light and mobile coating thickness gauge is operated with two AAA batteries. To save costs, an automatic shut-off mechanism has been integrated. After a three minute break, the device switches off automatically. Once you have completed the measuring activity, simply connect the device to your PC and easily transfer your data to evaluate.
