Keyfacts
TIG DC Welder - 200 A - Liftarc/HF - Digital - 230 V - Pulse
The TIG welder IOTA 200 S allows you to activate the arc via high-frequency ignition or generate it via touch triggering (Liftarc), so that you are optimally adjusted to most welding situations, even in sensitive areas. Further options are the integrated E-Hand welding, which provides optimal results with Anti-Stick, Arc Force and Hot Start. The digital display allows you to set a wide range of functions of the Welbach welder, from gas pre-flow time to pulse rate - even with welding gloves.
TIG welding with high frequency ignition or Liftarc - The choice is yours!
The setting of the parameters is done very conveniently via the control panel. There are two large buttons for selecting the welding method and the key assignment (2T / 4T) of the torch. Use the rotary knob to control and regulate the properties displayed digitally via LEDs. The intuitive menu navigation and easy operation allow a smooth adjustment of all the values such as the pulse frequency, the gas post-flow time or the welding current between 5 and 200 amps. All parameters are clearly visible on the LED display.
The modern IGBT inverter makes an impression with the precise implementation of the welding parameters, for perfect weld seams. You can effortlessly switch between the typical TIG welding functions, as well between 2- or 4-step welding. The arc for welding is activated with the high-frequency ignition (HF) or the careful Liftarc ignition.
The Liftarc ignition has many advantages over high frequency ignition for more sensitive activities. Sensitive electronic devices in the vicinity, for example cell phones, computers, control systems, are not affected or disturbed. Neither tungsten inclusions nor ignition problems occur, in case that the cable assembly is longer. Damage to the electrode tip is avoided.
For welding thin sheets, the pulse function is particularly useful. Even under difficult conditions, the arc can be stabilized, as the pulse frequency can be regulated up to 200 Hz. It is also possible to adjust parameters such as the initial base current or final current for pulsed current welding with the rotary knob.
The ergonomic welding torch generates few sparks or splashes during TIG welding and produces high-quality, neat welding seams with hardly any deformation. The TIG welding of the IOTA 200 welder uses direct current (DC), so it can be used for almost all types of metal and their alloys such as copper, nickel, titanium or steel. You can weld from different positions, be it vertical, horizontal or overhead.
Further advantages of TIG welding:
- No corrosive or deformed welds
- Non-melting electrodes reduce downtimes
- No disruptive deformations due to a minimised heating zone
- Welding with or without additional metal
E-hand - flexible electrode welding without extra gas
For E-Hand welding (MMA), no extra gas is needed. The welder can be used outdoors, even in strong winds. The welder generates a very stable current with a steady voltage. As a result, very good welding results are achieved in a variety of metals.
The Hot-Start-function of the electrode welder procures an automatic and short-term increase of the welding current. Thanks to this “Hot Start”, the starting point is immediately heated to the optimal temperature and the electrodes do not clog. You get perfect welding results from the first.
The ARC FORCE function adjusts the arc to the material to be welded and the desired density of the weld. You can set the amps for the ARC Force and the Hot Start for the duration via the digital control panel.
The ANTI-STICK function prevents overheating and the electrode sticking to the welding material by switching off the welding current. Due to these properties, the welder is an all-rounder for metalworking, repairs and renovations.
The consistent operational reliability and durability of the welder is ensured by the high-powered ventilator, the overheat protection and the information displayed on the LED display. The hoses and cables included in delivery have lengths from 2.8 to 3.75 m to increase the maximum mobility for welding.
Do I have to prepare the workpiece for the welding? If yes, how?
Chemical and highly flammable substances must be removed from before welding, as they might ignite and release toxic substances.
How do I clean the device?
The device needs to be disconnected before cleaning. Only use non-corrosive cleaning agents.
Can I connect a foot pedal to the device?
No, there is no connection for a foot pedal.
