TIG Welder Set - 180 A - Cable Assembly 4 m
The electrode welder S-TIGMA 180 from Stamos Selection combines performance - up to 180 amps - with a compact, easily transportable construction. Together with the TIG welding torch, it can be transformed into a TIG welder with Liftarc ignition.
The welder is operated with a digital menu with a large LED display, including the potentiometer for a seamless regulation of the welding current between 20 and 180 amps. The clearly arranged switches allow you to easily switch between MMA welding and TIG welding and select the VRD safety function.
The E-Hand or MMA device welds materials like steel, iron, cast iron, nickel, copper or aluminium from 1.5 mm thickness. It can also be used in humid working environments such as excavations or sewers, since the VRD (Voltage Reduction Device) safety function reduces the open-circuit voltage, which automatically starts up at the beginning of welding and is safely switched off at the end.
The Hot-Start-function of the electrode welder procures an automatic and short-term increase of the welding current. Due to this “Hot Start”, the starting point is immediately heated to the optimal temperature and the electrodes do not clog. You get clean and stable welding results from the first.
The ANTI-STICK function prevents overheating and the electrode sticking to the welding material by switching off the welding current. You do not need any protective gas. The MMA welder can be used and will work at great precision, even in adverse circumstances, for example with strong winds. Due to these properties, the welder is an all-rounder for metalworking, repairs and renovations.
With the TIG welding torch with 4 m cable assembly (included in the set), this welder can also be used for TIG welding with Liftarc ignition.
TIG welding can be used when particularly clean welds are needed. There are hardly any impurities and the welds are always straight and sharp. There are no slags, so cleaning is not required. Sparks, splashes and open flames are kept to a minimum.
Almost all metals and alloys, including magnesium, copper, nickel, titanium and steel, can be welded. Very thin materials from 1 millimetre can be processed with TIG welding. It is possible to weld in many different positions: lying, overhead, vertically and horizontally. You always have total control over all the welding functions.
- No corrosive or deformed welds
- Non-melting electrodes reduce downtimes
- No disruptive deformations due to a minimised heating zone
- Welding with or without additional metal
