The plasma cutter from Stamos Selection is designed for a professional work environment in which work progress and high-quality results count. It operates with a 400 V three-phase operating voltage and cuts workpieces from a wide variety of metallic materials. These include low and high-alloy tool steels as well as the non-ferrous metals aluminium, copper and titanium.
Show more Show lessWith a cutting depth of 34 mm, the plasma cutter is equipped for demanding repair and renovation tasks as well as for efficient use in production. Material loss is kept to a minimum with a cutting width of only 1,4 mm. The high performance is made possible by the particularly reliable IGBT inverter technology.
Show more Show lessAt a duty cycle of 60 percent, the cutting current is 125 A. At 100 percent duty cycle, a high 96,8 A is still possible. With an operating range between 30 and 125 A, the Stamos provides the necessary flexibility in the selection of the cutting current. The pilot ignition works contact-free and extremely reliable. The compressed air for plasma cutting is adjusted via a pressure reducer. The external compressor can be selected according to requirements and conditions. This makes the unit very flexible and easy to transport.
However, high equipment performance alone is by no means sufficient for efficient work. With its 5 m long plasma hose in connection with the 3 m long ground cable, the Stamos offers a high degree of freedom of movement. This allows you to work continuously even in a larger working radius without problems.
Show more Show lessIn order to achieve the maximum working progress for each task, the Stamos offers two different working modes. In 2-stroke mode, the torch will run for as long as the power switch is pressed. In 4-stroke mode, a single tap is sufficient to activate the burner and another tap to switch it off. This mode provides countless advantages for continuous operation. The handle position on the torch can be varied during work to reduce fatigue and physical strain.
Show more Show lessTo prevent damage to the torch or deformation of the workpiece and oxidation reactions after the cut, the air cooling continues to run afterward. The post-flow interval can be selected between 5 and 60 s in several steps. The power unit is protected against damage by fan cooling and overheating protection.
Show more Show lessProblems with the operating temperature as well as other malfunctions are indicated by an LED on the control unit. The LED display for the cutting current and the cutting current controller are also located in this clearly visible space on the front of the unit. With a product weight of 33,9 kilograms, the plasma cutter has sufficient mass to maintain safe footing even in a rugged working environment.

IGBT = insulated-gate bipolar transistor. IGBT is a bipolar transistor with an insulated gate electrode. This semi-conducting device is being increasingly used in power electronics because it combines the advantages of two transistor types: the easy controls of the field effect transistor and the fast switching and high breakdown voltage of the bipolar transistor. The IGBT also offers some robustness against short circuits because it limits the electrical continuity. IGBTs are a further development of MOSFET technology.
Show moreShow lessPowerful fans ensure an optimal removal of heat from the unit.
For plasma cutting, a gas is required with which the molten metal is blown away from the work surface. Compressed air is a common solution for this. For this purpose, the plasma cutter has a compressor connection.
Show moreShow lessOn the back of every welding machine is a screw with an earthing mark. Before use, earth the unit via a cross-section cable, which must be at least 6 mm².
This device works with a 3-phase connection (400 V +/- 10 %).
The time after the weld is finished in which gas continues to flow from the torch; this cools the burner and protects the weld from oxidation.
Start the weld by placing pressure on the torch button. Stop the process by releasing the button.
By pressing the torch button the solenoid valve opens. allowing the gas to flow in. The gas pre-flow ignites the arc at the pre-set current. Releasing the burner button initiates a rise in the current to that of the pre-set welding current. The welding process stops once you press the burner button again.
Show moreShow lessThe plasma arc melts the metal and the kinetic energy of the compressed air blows the metal aside.

The LED light indicates overheating or a malfunction.
The LED lights to indicate that the supply voltage has dropped by 10% or more than that of the required voltage.
The LED lights to indicate that the actual voltage is 10% or more than the value of the supply voltage.
The LED lights to indicate that the gas pressure has fallen below that of the minimum value.
The LED lights to indicate that the network connection of the phase has failed.
Shows the value of compressed air the compressor delivers to the plasma cutter. The plasma cutter has a pressure reducing valve which regulates the air pressure.

The diverse assortment of products from Stamos enable you to cut or join materials efficiently and precisely. Our portfolio ranges from professional soldering stations to top-class welding machines and precise plasma cutters, to the matching accessories. Let us demonstrate to you the functionality, quality and versatility – not to mention the cost-effectiveness – of our professional line. Our videos show our products in action.
What's the maximum thickness of material the plasma cutter can cut through?
The maximum thickness is 34 mm.
Is the plasma cutter easy to transport?
Despite its compact size, the unit weighs 33,9 kg, so we recommend using a welding cart for transport. You can also find a selection of welding trolleys at expondo.
How does the device inform me when it's threatening to overheat?
A diode lights up as soon as the maximum duty cycle is exceeded and the device heats up too much as a result. The light will also warn you if the plasma cutter generates too much heat due to malfunction. In both cases, the operation should be interrupted.
