TIG welding machine S-ALU 315 - 315 A - 400 V
With the ALU welding machine S-ALU 315 from Stamos Germany welding work can be carried out with high precision and great flexibility in craft workshops as well as in the hobby workshop. With a welding current between 20 - 315A, either the TIG or MMA welding method can be used, depending on which metal and under what conditions welding is to be made. The welding machine is ideally suited even for thin sheets of metal.
The TIG welding method of the S-ALU 315 utilizes direct current (DC) as well as alternating current (AC), so almost all melting metal grades and their alloys such as aluminum , nickel or steel can be welded. Due to flexible use of this device, you are also able weld from different positions, be it overhead or vertically. The welding process is characterized by a clean weld of the seam with little welding spatter.
For the TIG welding different functions can be selected, for example the pulse function , this function allows for the precise welding of thin sheet metal. Different parameters such as the pulse rate or base current can be selected and adjusted using a rotary control. DC or AC mode or the simple switching between 2 or 4-stroke operation can also be set directly and easily on the control panel.
Wwith the MMA - welding method of the S-ALU 315 gas is not required for welding, therefore this welding device is able to acheive clean welding results even in adverse conditions such as wind. In the case of MMA welding, the device is mainly used for iron or steel as well as alloys such as cast iron, aluminum and copper. The welding machine convinces with a very stable welding current, which enables particularly high-quality welding seams.
The aluminium welding machine has a well-designed control panel, which can be used to select functions such as 2T / 4T, AC / DC or pulse using toggle switches and the required values for the pulse frequency and the working cycle of the gas. The amperes are displayed according to the selected parameters on a large LED display.
In addition, the device has a fault indicator which turns on when the device can not be operated due to a malfunction or if the welding device exceeds the standard load duration. In the second case, the protection mode is set automatically and sets the function of the device. Security is so guaranteed.
The AC / DC welding machine S-ALU 315 requires a supply voltage of 400 V and operates with a powerful V MOSFET inverter , which is characterized by an efficiency of 93%. The device can be operated easily with the foot pedal, which can also be purchased. The supplied cables for the TIG torch, grounding and MMA welding are between 2,8 and 4 meters long and provide sufficient freedom of movement during welding.
In addition to the TIG welding machine a welding torch, an electrode holder, a gas hose, and various other accessories
The welder is equipped with a MOSFET transistor. This technology represents the highest standards of performance combined with compact and lightweight design. The result is 93% efficiency! The welding current is very stable and thus ensures a perfect weld.
Powerful fans ensure an optimal removal of heat from the unit.
TIG/MIG and MAG welding require a protective gas. Inert gases, such as argon and helium, as well as active gases (for example carbon dioxide) and other mixtures can be used. The solenoid valve regulates the flow of gas. The valve is operated via a button on the torch.
On the back of every welding machine is a screw with an earthing mark. Before use, earth the unit via a cross-section cable, which must be at least 6 mm².
This unit can also be operated using a foot pedal.
This device works with a 3-phase connection (400 V +/- 10 %).
A non-contact high-frequency ignition in TIG mode ensures a cleaner weld starting point.
Value of the arc ignition output current. This current can be adjusted at will. For precision welding, it is recommended to start with reduced power, weld smoothly and eventually adjust the current accordingly.
The output current value before the end of the weld. Welding with the final current helps prevent a crater forming at the end of the weld.
The time after the weld is finished in which gas continues to flow from the torch; this cools the burner and protects the weld from oxidation.
This function reduces the heat to the material. It is primarily suitable for welding thin plates. If MIG welding is used, it is perfect for aluminium welding.
The frequency of impulses during pulse mode.
Start the weld by placing pressure on the torch button. Stop the process by releasing the button.
By pressing the torch button the solenoid valve opens. allowing the gas to flow in. The gas pre-flow ignites the arc at the pre-set current. Releasing the burner button initiates a rise in the current to that of the pre-set welding current. The welding process stops once you press the burner button again.
A welding method in which the arc is maintained through an electrical current supplied from a non-consumable electrode. The arc is protected from the access of air by an inert gas.
Electrode welding with a coated electrode.
Choose between the 2T and 4T mode.
TIG welding is divided into AC (alternating current) and DC (direct current) welding.
Used to switch the pulse function on and off.
By using the SHIFT key the welding mode can be selected.
